正文 | Poem Text

人生倏忽十八春，风华冠玉立乾坤

Eighteen fleeting springs weave my youth’s bright tale, A peerless youth stands tall where heaven and earth prevail.

人间绝色难再遇，不辨尘愁辨卿颦

No peerless beauty in the mortal world I’ll e’er find, I mind not worldly woes, but only her frown and smile kind.

纵吟千章非济世，宁将浮世作卿薪

Though thousands of verses I chant, not to save the world I aspire, I’d trade the vain mortal life to be the fuel for her fire.

世人不识凌云气，妄谓少年困情深

The world knows not my lofty spirit that touches the sky, Vainly claiming the young heart is trapped in love’s tie.

少年孤愁凭谁诉，举酒问天探月魂

To whom shall the youth pour his lonely grief and woe? I raise my cup to heaven, seeking the moon’s soul aglow.

此生誓不续鸾弦，为伊封心锁良辰

I swear no more to pluck the lute string for another mate, For her, my heart’s sealed tight, and sweet moments locked in fate.

朝暮相思凝霜绪，一念丹枫染泪痕

Day and night, longing congeals to frosty care, A thought of red maples stains my cheeks with tear.

酣饮千觞浑醉醒，梦回处处遇芳辰

Drinking a thousand cups, half-drunk, half-awake I stay, In dreams, her lovely days come to me every way.

春风一晤卿倾世，万里山河若瞬奔

One glance of her in spring outshines the world so bright, Mountains and rivers stretch as fleeting as a flight.

眼底眉间皆是你，忆中苦乐尽回甘

In my eyes and brows, only her image dwells, Joy and sorrow in memories turn to sweetness as well.

少年意气逐春风，未解清风渡梦痕

The youth’s vigor chases the vernal breeze with might, Yet fails to fathom how the breeze bears dreams in flight.

唯念归程赴故里，酒香漫卷绕柴门

My only wish is to journey back to our old home, The scent of wine curls round the firewood door, warm and calm.

卿是星河落尘寰，一顾惊鸿万古叹

She is the starry river fallen to the mortal sphere, One glance of her stunning grace amazes all time sincere.

纵有千娇与百媚，不及卿眸半分暖

Though thousands of beauties with charm and grace appear, Not half the warmth in her eyes can any of them cheer.

相思入骨化诗行，字字泣血皆痴念

Longing sinks deep into my bones, turning to lines of verse, Every word, blood and tears, is my infatuated curse.

封心锁爱为一人，不负初心不负缘

My heart and love sealed tight for her alone I keep, True to my initial wish, true to the bond we reap.

山河万里皆过客，唯有卿心是归岸

Mountains and rivers, ten thousand miles, are but passers-by, Only her heart is the shore where my soul shall lie.

少年情根深千尺，岁月流转不曾变

The youth’s love runs deep, a thousand fathoms or more, Time flows and changes, yet my love remains as before.

纵使青丝染霜雪，此心依旧恋卿颜

Even if black hair turns white as frost and snow on high, My heart will still adore her lovely face till I die.

浪漫冠绝古今事，此篇当为第一传

A romance unmatched, surpassing all tales of yore, This poem shall stand as the first, for all time to store.
